Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This page explains how to delete the data OpenMediaPilot stores about you and your connected social media accounts (including any Facebook Pages or Instagram Business accounts you have connected). You can remove your data at any time using either of the methods below.
What data we store
- Basic details of the accounts you connect (Page/Instagram name, username, account ID, profile picture).
- Access tokens that let us publish on your behalf (encrypted at rest, never shown to users).
- Content you created in OpenMediaPilot (captions, images, videos, scheduling metadata).
Option 1 — Disconnect inside OpenMediaPilot (instant)
- Sign in to OpenMediaPilot.
- Go to the Connections page.
- Find the account you want to remove and click Remove (confirm when prompted).
Removing an account immediately deletes its stored access tokens and disconnects it from all brands.
Option 2 — Remove the app from Meta
You can revoke OpenMediaPilot's access directly from Meta:
- Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations → select OpenMediaPilot → Remove.
- Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites → remove OpenMediaPilot.
When you remove the app, Meta automatically notifies OpenMediaPilot and we delete the Meta connection data associated with your account.
Option 3 — Email us to delete everything
To request full deletion of all data associated with your OpenMediaPilot account, email support@openmediapilot.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will confirm and complete the deletion, typically within 30 days.
Confirmation
Once deletion is complete, the stored account details, access tokens and associated content are permanently removed from our systems. If you have any questions about this process, contact support@openmediapilot.com.
