Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
OpenMediaPilot ("OpenMediaPilot", "we", "us") is an internal social media and content marketing platform used to create, schedule and publish content to social media accounts that our users explicitly connect. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how to disconnect accounts and request deletion of your data.
Information we collect
When you connect a social media account (for example a Facebook Page or an Instagram Business account) through the official platform login, we receive and store:
- Basic account/profile details you authorize (such as Page name, Instagram username, account ID and profile picture).
- Access tokens issued by the platform that allow us to publish content on your behalf. These tokens are encrypted at rest and are never displayed to users.
- Content you create in OpenMediaPilot (captions, images, videos and scheduling metadata).
We do not ask you to enter platform passwords or API secrets. Authorization is handled entirely through the platform's official login/consent flow.
How we use your information
- To publish and schedule the content you create to the accounts you connect.
- To display your connected accounts and their status inside OpenMediaPilot.
- To operate, secure and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your connected-account data for advertising.
Meta Platform data
Where you connect Facebook or Instagram accounts, our use and transfer of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We request only the permissions needed to list your Pages/Instagram accounts and to publish the content you schedule.
Data retention
We retain connected-account details and access tokens only while the account remains connected. When you disconnect an account, or when a token is revoked, we remove or disable the associated tokens.
Revoking access & deleting your data
You can disconnect any account at any time from the Connections page in OpenMediaPilot, which removes its stored tokens. You may also remove OpenMediaPilot's access from the platform's own app settings (for Meta: Settings → Business Integrations / Apps and Websites).
To request deletion of all data associated with your account, email support@openmediapilot.com. Meta users who remove our app trigger an automated data-deletion request, and their stored Meta connection data is deleted.
Security
Access tokens are encrypted at rest and are never returned to the browser or exposed in the interface. Access to the platform is restricted to authorized users.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
